The time has come! I get to announce some very exciting news!

~*~*~*~*~
We are expecting BABY #2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
~*~*~*~*~
**
I found out a week ago Saturday, then that evening told James. Even though I felt like telling him right away, I made myself wait. With Patrick, I basically just walked in the room and told him~so I really wanted to tell him in a different way with our second baby!
He had a gig that evening, so it was perfect. I could easily surprise him with him being gone for awhile. I set up a little table with candles and some snacks and "toasting glasses."(Something funny about the snacks--I bought these more "exotic" snack-stick thingies for James, and he didn't like them! Ah well, I gave them to my friends after I found out he didn't like them!) The way that I told him was with a card. The front had a picture I drew of our family~our family of four ~and the words "Children are God's gift" Then inside a little rhyme about how He had given us two! He came home from his gig looking all handsome in a tuxedo, and was very surprised to see the table with candles etc. When he opened the card he was very surprised about our baby and SO very amazed and excited!!!
(I was going to add a photo, but it won't upload. I'll try again later!)
My mom was out of town, so we decided to wait to tell everyone. That was hard! Then we set up a get-together for Saturday with both sets of parents--However, it got cancelled!! :( So we didn't get to tell then. We could have waited to tell the families all together perhaps next week, but we didn't want to wait any longer! So James called everyone up on speaker phone today and told them! Yay!
So, congratulations to Grandpa and Grandma Gallagher, Poppy and Grandmerry and all the Aunts and Uncles of the Beemans and Gallaghers!!!!!
We are very excited! Patrick and the new baby will be around a year and a half apart, give or take some. We aren't exactly sure when the new baby will be here, but we think sometime around June-ish.
Thank you God for your most precious gifts to us!

Some lovely things~
Taking a nap
Going to Wal-Mart :)
Having flowers sent to you (from a florists!!!) from you husband
Having a happy day with your own little baby boy

Speaking of Wal-Mart, I've been going through an adventure with their Photo Studio. I have a "portrait smiles" club card. With it, I can have a free 8x10 each time I get photos done. (for a year)
Well, I went in on Tuesday to have P's pictures made. Afterwards, I told her I wanted the "special" and this other certain pose for my free 8x10, and she told me I couldn't do that! I would have to apply my free 8x10 to the special. I had used the card once before, and the previous lady had allowed me to choose a separate pose. But, apparently they cannot do that now. When I was at home, I called Customer Service and asked them about the free 8x10 with the Smiles card. This lady said that what I originally thought was true. So today I went to get my different pose 8x10 on my order. The same lady from Tuesday was there, and she told me yet again that they cannot do what I was requesting. She said that their store doesn't do that. After talking with her, and her calling her supervisor(s) I went to the CS in WalMart. When I got home, I called the # they got for me, but it was the same CS one I'd dialed before. Once again a lady at CS told me it wasn't true, and that I would get my desired 8x10 pose.......So, that has been my big adventure and brave deeds for the week so far! :)

And here's a picture that might make you laugh! :) Our little bundle several months ago--he used to sleep all "caged up" like this, but now he is "free"! :) (that's our own version of swaddling :) )

Patrick and Our Weekend...

Thank you so much to everyone who commented and prayed for Patrick! He is doing MUCH better! Praise the Lord!!! Here's a picture of us from yesterday. I put him in here to vacuum. (he has been afraid of the vacuum lately, but he did well right next to Mama!) It was so cozy! :)

Here's what our weekend was like!
It began with James and I having a Friday night movie party (and me eating Sherbet! :) YUM)
The next day a friend dropped by and asked if I wanted to go to the park with her,
her children, her sister and her new baby! I hadn't seen this friend since July, so it was fun!
Our babies (my first, her second) are born exactly one month apart.
That evening James and I went to a play! We went to see "Fiddler on the Roof" I love the music from that! It was very fun. We got to see our friends act in it, and we got to meet Rachel!
Here's a picture of Andrew and Amy. Can you guess who they were???
The next day after Church, my family, Rachel and Darleen all went to the Dallas Arboretum and the building where my Dad works. Even though it was quite wet at the Arboretum, we were able to get some good pictures! This one was taken by my dad.
On Monday evening, Rachel came to spend the night at our house! It was very nice to get to know her better, and we had a fun time! Tuesday my mom came and joined us for a visit.

A Scary Evening....

This evening we had a very scary thing happen to our precious baby boy. He had been running a fever since Monday, so I took him to the doctor. The doctor said that despite the 102.9 temp that he had, he looked good, and probably had a virus. Advil and Tylenol as needed was prescribed.

This evening after Patrick had his dinner and was sitting in the bathtub, I noticed a rash beginning around his mouth---and spreading quickly on his face---James came in from working on his truck, and I called him to look at little Patrick....from there things got worse. Patrick started throwing up....to make a longer story shorter, we ended up at the ER around 8:00 pm with a very sick little baby boy.
As we waited, Patrick's rash got worse. James went and talked with someone, and we were able to get into a doctor pretty quickly--faster than it probably would have been, had James not talked with them.

By the time a doctor came to look at little Paddy, he was bright red almost all over his body. The doctor talked with us, then gave Patrick a shot. After that, two nurses attempted to give him an IV, while James and I tried to comfort our little crying, hurting baby. The IV was unsuccessful, and since the shot was already helping him, it was decided to administer the IV medicine orally.
Once Patrick had been given all his medicine, he was able to sleep with me while we waited for observation. Around 11:20 we left the hospital with a much better baby.

It may be related to his virus, the advil he had (he'd never had it before) or it may have been something new he ate today....whatever it was, it was an awful experience. I thank God for hearing and answering our prayers on behalf of our precious, precious baby. I feared for his life, and the thought of losing him was terrible. How fragile and out-of- our control life is!
Please pray for little Patrick if you think of it. He still has a fever, and there is a chance the rash could return. Please pray for his complete healing of both the rash and the fever/virus!

James is at Wal-Mart right now, getting benadryl. It's 1:32 am, and he has to leave for work around 7:15. Poor thing--so pray for him too, if you think of him.

Thank you God for answering our Prayers!!!

Jamile and David's Wedding

On September 30th we attended a wedding. The Bride is a young woman who I taught in Jr. Church several years ago!!! I guess that should make me feel old :) It was a sweet wedding, and we had an enjoyable time celebrating with Jamile and her new husband!
My parents and brother were also there...

Doesn't my husband look handsome in a suit?!

The Newlyweds!!!

Patrick had a long day. In the morning I took him to his doctor in Plano right during his morning nap time. He did sleep in the car, but not for long enough. He never got a 2nd nap, but he did fall asleep in the car after the wedding (we stopped at the grocery store) I think he looks so precious and poor asleep in his carseat!
