Our life has improved significantly, since our plumbing started working :) Our landlord rented a port-a-potty for us, while it wasn't always flushing. That was fun, but it got old, having to traipse out to the blue and white "BIG" potty, as Patrick called it :) He thought it was a wonderful addition to our home :)
So, now the plumbing is working (although the fix is temp.) and the port a potty is gone, but the deck is still torn up :( This makes me sad. But oh well!
On Patrick's 27th month "birthday" we took his pacifier away :( (nice birthday gift, eh? lol) This to makes me sad - but happy at the same time. Since then, he has also become more potty trained than before (now does *ahem* "everything" in the potty) and only wears a diaper at night) With these two changes have come some other, not so pleasant changes. We have entered a new phase, and we need wisdom on how to handle it.
If we put him in his bed for rest time, (and bedtime) he calls out that he needs to go potty.....sometimes more than once. He goes potty before bed - and maybe he really does have to go, but it's a fine line we have to determine of a need and a want to just get out of bed. He doesn't like to go to bed anymore, either, (sometimes) which is a stress on us both. Last night he cried himself to sleep :( I posted about some of this on a forum, and got some good ideas that I hope will help.
Let's see, I don't have anything else exciting to report :) Not that the lack of pacifiers and diapers and a dislike of sleep are dreadfully exciting :) :) but they are the things that make up my life at present :) (and most of them are exciting to me, in one way or another :) )
Life is good. God is so good to me, and I am so grateful for His mercy and love towards me. I started reading Joshua recently, and have been enjoying it! I like the story of Rahab. It is one of those "not-so-typical" ones, that is always encouraging! It's nice to know that things don't always have to go "just so" .....Not that we should go around lying all the time :)
As always, you can see what we are up to in our daily lives by checking out

well, I must scoot. Soon we are leaving for a visit to a assisted living home, some errands, then home again - oops, and I need to stick the crock pot on!
Have a wonderful afternoon!

Hi, again! :) I was over here the other day and read your blog and hopped to Patrick's... didn't realize I hadn't even said hello to ya!
I sure enjoy your posts--and Patrick's too. :) And, oh the photos! I love 'em! It's no wonder to me that you take so many pics of him. I sit and look at various of your pics and shake my head in wonder. He is picture perfect--Such a beautiful child! He reminds me of several classic paintings of blond-haired, blue-eyed boys.
It's fun keeping up with you all and getting acquainted a little. I popped over here today to say that "You've been tagged! Come to my blog for the details." Hopefully I'll get to know you even more. :)
