The morning was spent with preparations for our little trip. While in town, we stopped at our wedding Church and took pictures! Then we stopped to buy some things, then off for Mom and Dad Gallaghers. We arrived around 1:00. I fed Patrick, then James put him down for a nap. It took awhile, so I was able to visit with Mom and "the kids" (James' four younger sibling: Anna, Naomi, Jonathan and Gloria)
As soon as Patrick was asleep, James came and whisked me off for a wonderful celebration! It was quite special to be together. We enjoyed the time in the car; both of us sitting up front, listening to music loudly, talking, flirting :) remembering our wedding day..... It was nice.
Around 4:15 or thereabouts we arrived at Lockheart Gables. Thankfully we did NOT break down at "our spot." (we ran out of gas there the first time and overheated our car there (but going the opposite way) the second time) We did check the temp. and gas though upon nearing that intersection!
We were taken upstairs to our room "The Love Nest" and soon afterwards were brought lovely and yummy personalized heart shaped cookies. Accompanying the cookies were elegant glasses of lemonade, complete with heart shaped ice cubes!
Around 6:15 we left for dinner at the Olive Garden. At first they were going to seat us at a large table in a large-ish room--but my brave husband spoke up and asked if we could have a booth! Thus we got a cozy little booth in a lovely little nook. We had a delicious dinner, and returned to Lockheart Gables before dark.
After a little stroll about the yard we settled into our nest for the evening.
The next morning breakfast was brought to our room. It was quite good, complete with a heart shaped cinnamon roll!
Check out was at 1:00 We were running late, but the owners were quite gracious! Before departing, we sat on the swing in the lovely little yard. Then we were off!
When we arrived at Mom and Dad's, Patrick was taking a nap, so we got to enjoy their company! They baked cupcakes for James' 29th birthday, which was fun!
Then our little family of three was off for home.
It was such a wonderful anniversary, and we are so happy that things worked out so well with Patrick! Many thanks to Grandma and Grandpa, as well as Uncle Jonathan, and Aunts Anna, Naomi and Gloria!

And thank you to my dear husband for giving so generously to me--to *us*--and thank You, God, for working out all the big and little detials we were worried about!
