My Salvation Testimony

I was born into a home with Christian parents.
As I grew up, they taught me about the Lord, His Word, etc.
When I was about 7 years old, I too became a Christian.
My mom and I were sitting on my bed, and she drew a picture (on a box!)
of two mountains. One mountain represented me (with all my sins that were not forgiven) and the other mountain represented God (who is Holy and without sin)
I was lost without belonging to God. But how could I, with all my black ugly sins belong to a Pure, Holy God? The Bible says that "All have sinned, and come short of the glory of God." Romans 3:23 and that "....the wages of sin is death;...." Romans 6:23a
Mama then drew a bridge connecting my mountain and God's mountain.
You see, even though I deserve death, "God so loved the world that He gave us His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him, should not perish, but have everlasting life" John 3:16 Jesus is that bridge! He died on the cross in MY PLACE. "...Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that He was buried, and that He rose again the thrid day according to the scriptures;" I Corinthians 15:1-4 I should have been there, but God loved me so much that He sent His Son instead.
And happily, Jesus didn't stay dead. God raised Him from the dead, like the verse says, on the third day! Jesus is now in Heaven, preparing a place for all the people who will believe in Him. "....the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." Romans 6:23b I accepted God's free gift of salvation, and I asked Him to come into my heart to live, to forgive me for all my sins, making my heart white as snow through Jesus' blood. When I die, I will go to Heaven, to live with God.
I am so grateful to God, for saving me!
"For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, let any man should boast."
Ephesians 2:8,9
